I told my puppy yesterday, "You can have all the privileges that you can HANDLE." I wonder if God is saying the same thing to ME.

In truth, I would love to let my puppy have the run of the whole house, to come, go, and do as she pleases. In reality though, she can't be trusted to make the right choices. "Right" being defined as not harmful to herself or to her family.

Her family consists of three bunny brothers, a birdie brother, a mommy and a daddy.

In this phase of her life, her brothers look suspiciously like chew toys, so gates go up and her world gets smaller. I tell her, "Your world will get as small as you need." Are our lives the same way? ...

End Times

There are different opinions about end times. Some teach the saints will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air, as we read in I Thessalonians 4, known as the Rapture. Others teach we will be here on earth until mid tribulation in the last 7 yrs before the terrible end. Others teach we will be on earth through the last seven years and the great tribulation.
Who is right? I am not sure. All three teachings are said to be supported in Scripture. We need not dispute these teachings. Rather let us take time to think on Bible passages that assure us God will take care of us and our need to show allegiance to the KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

Ex.12:13b “when I see the blood, I will pass over you and no plague will strike you when I strike the land of Egypt.” We are reminded God looks for the blood as He did in Bible days for Israel and the blood they applied to their doorposts. ...

“God must be testing you,” is something I no longer believe. I think it mischaracterizes God into some being who is orchestrating custom-made difficulty to improve your character. Rather, I believe that difficult circumstances shed light on my weaknesses and mistrust in God. And in the midst of the difficulties, he is far more interested in helping me understand the unfolding richness of his love and kindness.
This was a comment I left on Facebook the other day. I was surprised by the amount of comments it stirred up. Evidently, I’m not the only one who’s lived under the onus of a friend “encouraging” you with such words.

Right now, we are facing some challenging circumstances - A job loss, a lease ending and three children looking up at us asking, “Where are we going to live?” I can also hear the voices of accusation in my own head: When ARE you going to settle down?
