History is full of invasions as country after country has attacked another. Many invasions have changed the course of human history. Which one has had the most powerful effect on humanity?

I agree with C.S. Lewis who believed that the most powerful invasion in human history wasn’t a military invasion at all. It was a nonviolent invasion and was hardly noticed at the time. However, today this invasion is celebrated around the globe.

On August 12, 2009 I woke to hear these words, “Re-Facing and Re-Making America.” Alarmed, I said, “LORD, That’s what is happening before our eyes.” Freedoms are being stripped away in the guise of an old face called “Socialism,” a nation living under government control and rules.

No longer will we hear, “Let Freedom Ring.” Freedom in the making will only be seen by those who choose Christ Jesus as their LORD and their God, and receive His Spirit within their spirit. II Cor. 3: 17 “and where the Spirit of the LORD is there is freedom.” That is under Christ’s rule and government called, “Theocracy.”

I was speaking for a church in Toronto, Canada and asked the group: "Who can tell me what was the first message Jesus preached?" There was silence. I asked again-still no reply. "If you know, please raise your hand," nothing but confused looks. Finally one man got it and spoke up: "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."

Both Jesus and John the Baptist preached "repent." When have you last heard it preached? Seems like repentance is out dated in our "have it your own way" culture. If it is preached at all it is toned down to mean "just add Jesus to your current lifestyle and viewpoint." But that is not what the word means.

Repent means to turn your life around, to put off the "old man" and the ways of the flesh and to put on the "new man" and the character of God. It means to change the way you think, to change the things you say, and to change the way you act. Repent does not mean to acknowledge God and then to keep living the way you want. ...
